Web host 1&1 Internet announced on Wednesday that it has released a new range of dedicated servers.

With demands for increased performance, reliability and energy efficiency, 1&1 Internet's new dedicated servers have 24-core processors ideal for resource-heavy business applications such as web development or databases.

1&1 Internet says its flagship server is the 1&1 Dodeca-Core 3XL which has 2 AMD Dodeca-Core Opteron 6172 CPUs, 48 GB of ECC RAM, redundancy with RAID 5, 4 TB of usable disk space and 2.1 GHZ clock frequency.

Priced from $999.99 per month, the hardware includes 24/7 administration.

Priced from $399.99 a month, 1&1's HC SL dedicated server with hexa-core processors has 16 GB of RAM and 1.5 TB of usable disk space. This model has a 2.8 GHZ clock frequency that can be run up to 3.3 GHZ.

Starting at $299.99 a month, the smaller version, 1&1's HC L, has 8 GB or RAM and 1 TB usable disk space.

All new servers are available in Linux or windows configurations and include unlimited traffic.

For the first time, users have the option of ordering SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 as either an operating system for complex IT infrastructures or as an alternative for developers who want to run .NET applications on Linux.

For a limited time 1&1 HS L and 1&1 HC SL are $59.99 a month for the first three months plus a one-time set-up fee of $99.
